BREMERTON, Wash. — Kitsap Soccer Club today announced the addition of Matt Eronemo as the club’s strength and conditioning coach for the 2017 season. Eronemo played for the club in 2015 and 2016 and has carried on his own private strength and conditioning training since graduating from college.
Eronemo, 27, has experience as a strength and conditioning coach at the youth and collegiate levels. As a player, he spent two seasons at Bellevue College, winning an NWAACC championship in 2009 before joining Concordia University, from where he graduated in 2013.
He also played for the PDL’s Puget Sound Gunners in 2013 and captained the team in 2014 before being signed by Kitsap for the 2015 campaign. Eronemo was a steady part of the team’s deep run in the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, playing all 270 minutes in the club’s three matches in the competition.
Eronemo is from Kent, Washington, and graduated from Kentwood High School. He currently resides in Bremerton.
