The Kitsap Pumas announced the signing of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines defender Kevin Francis for the 2018 National Premier Soccer League season, pending visa approval.
Francis, 24, is a full senior international, having earned 29 caps for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, including a start in a 6-1 loss to the United States in 2016. He has also scored twice in international play.
Francis would be the fifth senior international to play for the Pumas, along with Mike Ramos (Puerto Rico), Cameron Hepple (Bahamas), Shane Malcolm (Guam) and Derby Carrillo (El Salvador).
“It’s always exciting when a senior international signs for your club at any level, but especially at ours,” Kitsap head coach Liviu Bird said. “Kevin will be a good addition to both our roster and the list of Pumas players who have played for their country.”
Besides playing for his country, Francis has also played for Saint Vincent sides Jennings Grenades FC and SVG System 3 FC.
